Listing inventory, printing labels, and building shipments manually can eat up hours every week. InventoryLab includes built-in tools that cut repetitive task so you can prep, list, and ship your inventory faster.
In this guide, you'll learn how to use InventoryLab features that speed up listing, automate shipment prep, and simplify box content management. By the end, you'll have a faster, more efficient workflow.
Reduce Repetitive Listing Tasks
Adding items to a batch can involve a lot of repetitive tasks that slow down your workflow. InventoryLab offers tools that help streamline the process by reducing manual data entry and allowing you to scan items directly into your batch instead of typing information by hand. These easy-to-use features can significantly speed up your workflow and make batch creation more efficient.
Use Remember Last Entry settings
If you frequently list products with the same supplier, condition, or other repeated settings, enable Remember Last Entry under: Account Name → Settings → List
Here you can select the following to carry over from your last entry:
-
Cost Per Unit
-
Condition
-
Supplier
-
Tax Code
-
Purchase Date
-
MFN Shipping Template
Taking this simple step can speed up your workflow dramatically, especially if you freqently list products with similar data.
Quick Tip: If most of your inventory is listed in New condition, enable condition carryover to reduce repetitive clicks during batch creation.
Create Auto-Pricing presets
InventoryLab’s Auto-Pricing settings help you apply consistent pricing rules while listing. This can also be easily configured under Account Name → Settings → List. Instead of entering prices manually for every item, you can create rules that:
Match the Amazon Buy Box price
This rule allows the list price to match the Buy Box Offer price (also called Featured Offer) on each item loaded in Find It
Price
Automatically price your items based on rules you set, such as 2% higher than the Buy Box, or $1 lower than the Buy Box.
Fixed Values
Create a set value for all of your items. For example, if you want to price all of your items at $999 before they are received, and then reprice them manually after, you can set that up here.
Match My Last Input
This rule allows the list price to match the Buy Box Offer price (also called Featured Offer) on each item loaded in Find It
I'll Set My Own List Price
This option will leave your List Price blank instead of auto-filling with the default or an auto-price rule. This will come in handy by making sure you change your List Price before moving on.
Min/Max Prices
Here you have options on how you would like InventoryLab to automatically fill in your Minimum or Maximum Price while listing.
Write your awesome label here.
Quick Tip: When replenishing existing MSKUs, the previous List Price will be used instead of auto-pricing rules, but it can still be edited manually.
Scan UPCs to add items to your batch
InventoryLab lets you quickly add products to your batch by scanning a UPC barcode, which can save a significant amount of time during large listing sessions.
Once you scan a product, InventoryLab displays key details like sales rank, offer count, inventory status, and product alerts. This helps you spot restricted items, hazmat warnings, or expiration-date requirements before adding products to your batch. If the item already exists in your inventory, InventoryLab can also prompt you to replenish the existing MSKU instead of creating a duplicate listing.

Quick Tip: When searching the Amazon Catalog, you can also manually enter an ASIN, Title, or Keyword
Printing and Packing Shortcuts
Printing labels individually and building boxes one at a time can be one of the most time-consuming parts of your workflow. Luckily, InventoryLab has a few simple features that can help you cut that time significantly.
Automate thermal label printing
You can set up automatic label printing under Account Name → Settings → Printing to help speed up shipment prep and reduce repetitive printing steps. Automatic printing is available for thermal labels and supports DYMO, Zebra, Brother, and Rollo printers on both Windows and Mac.
You can enable automations for different workflow actions. This avoids you having to print manually. For example, labels can automatically print:
You can enable automations for different workflow actions. This avoids you having to print manually. For example, labels can automatically print:
-
After Adding to an FBA or MFN Batch: Correct quantity of labels will automatically print after adding it to an FBA or MFN batch.
-
After Quantity Edit: Additional labels will automatically print when you increase the quantity on an item in a batch.
-
During Scan to Pack: Labels will print as you scan the UPC barcodes on your items while assigning box contents.
-
Include Expiration Date: Expiration dates entered for items while listing will be included on the labels.
-
Unified 2D & Box Labels: Labels combined when the Box Content setting for your batch is set to On- Using 2D Barcodes.
Quick Tip: Automatic printing is only available for thermal labels. If you use 30-up labels, they will still need to be printed manually.
Scan items directly into boxes
During the Box It workflow, you can scan FNSKU or manufacturer barcodes directly into each box using a USB or Bluetooth scanner, making box creation faster and reducing the need for manual entry.
As you scan items, InventoryLab automatically updates quantities in real time to help keep packing workflows moving efficiently. The system also uses sound notifications to help speed up packing:
-
Beep = successful scan
-
Bonk = unsuccessful scan
-
Bling = all quantities assigned
Once everything is packed, you simply enter your box weights and dimensions before submitting box contents to Amazon.
Quick Tip: If you need to edit the quantity in the box, click the quantity text box to make your adjustments
Speed it up with Quick Box
The Quick Box tool lets you easily provide box contents for large quantities of a single item.
Instead of manually entering the same information over and over, simply enter your box dimensions, box weight, units per box, and total number of boxes. InventoryLab will instantly generate the identical boxes you requested.
Quick Tip: For case packs, adding items or changing dimensions after creation will cause Amazon to no longer recognize them as case packs.
Use bulk box actions for repetitive shipments
If you frequently send similar shipments, InventoryLab’s bulk box tools can save a lot of time.
Instead of rebuilding shipments from scratch, you can:
Quick Tip: Deleting boxes may cause the box numbers on shipping labels not to match up with the box numbers in InventoryLab for the shipment. To solve this, refer to your packing list after purchasing shipping labels in Ship It. This will show you exactly which set of items is in which box, so you can be sure to attach the right label.
Final tips for faster InventoryLab workflows
Faster workflows come from reducing repetitive tasks wherever possible. Simplifying product lookup, speeding up batch creation, automating label printing, and streamlining shipment prep helps you spend less time on manual steps and move inventory more efficiently.
Small workflow improvements may seem minor at first, but they can save significant time across hundreds of listings over time.
